Jones plays a waitress who travels around America, having several romantic encounters, and learning about love along the way. In the great American tradition, it is to be a road movie.
Although Wong has managed to secure a high-profile cast of established actors, Blueberry is lead actress Norah Jones silver screen debut.
At the recent Cannes Film Festival, where Wong served as jury president, a billboard poster for Blueberry was on display in front of Cannes' Majestic Hotel. It contained the film's title, and a headshot of Jones.
Blueberry began shooting in NYC on the 21st of June, and will film in various other cities across America, including California and Las Vegas.
And even though shooting has only just begun, a immense amount of fervor and hype surrounds Blueberry. Canadian Production company Christal Films acquired the Canadian rights to the picture before Wong had even shot a single frame.
