When the Hong Kong Film Critics Association announced the winners of the 11th Golden Bauhinia Awards last Sunday, Peter Chan's Perhaps, Love was the clear winner.
The musical won six awards, including Best Actress for Chinese mainland star Zhou Xun's performance, Best Director and the Best Music.
Few were surprised when the gangster flick Election won Best Film. Hong Kong veteran Simon Yang's excellence performance in the film also helped him beat his partner Tony Leung to the Best Actor Award.
Anthony Wong won the Best Supporting Actor Award and Terese Mo won Best Supporting Actress.
The Pang Brothers took home the Most Creative Award for their box office hit horror flick Re-Cycle.
The Golden Bauhinia Awards is organized by the Hong Kong Film Critics Association. The first award presentation was in 1996.
