Chinese actor Chen Shu, famous to Chinese audiences for his villainous roles, died after succumbing to a stroke on Tuesday. He was 86.
Chen had suffered from paralysis since 2001. A funeral will be held on Saturday in Shanghai.
Chen Shu's professional acting life began in 1952 after he joined the Shanghai Film Studio.
The artist was most popular as the villain in numerous works, including Reconnaissance Across the Yangtze, Railway Guerilla and Row and Row to Granny's Bridge.
