Chinese mainland actress Zhao Wei is to voice Cameron Diaz, the Princess, for the Chinese version of the computer-animated Hollywood hit Shrek 2.

Zhao, a soap opera star, will play the part of Shrek's lover Princess Fiona, alongside mainland actor Wang Xuebing as the voice of Shrek.

This will be Zhao's second go as a cartoon voice talent. She played a lioness called Nana in The Lion King II.

The Chinese dubbed version of the movie is expected to hit cinemas on August 12th.
