The Hong Kong government has approved a grant of HK$1 million from the Disaster Relief Fund to the Association of Chinese Evangelical Ministry for emergency relief to flood victims in Hunan and Guizhou provinces.
The move came after the government accepted the advice of the Disaster Relief Fund Advisory Committee.
To ensure that the money is used for the designated purposes, the committee will ask the association to submit an evaluation report and audited accounts on the use of the grant after the relief project has been completed.
