Lien Chan, honorary chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang (KMT) hailed the country's successful re-entry of Shenzhou VI spacecraft.
Lien Chan, who is on trip in northeast China's Liaoning Province, told the media that the space technology breakthrough represented China's cohesion and the comprehensive technology innovation and development power.
"The great scientific achievement is worth of joy and pride," said Lien.
He called on countries to improve the cooperation in developing space technology. He believed that mankind's search into space would be ceaseless, and China has made a significant step forward on the track.
Lien arrived in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning on Oct. 14. This is Lien's second visit to the Chinese mainland this year. Previously, Lien made an epoch-making visit to the mainland from April 26 to May 3, at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Hu Jintao, the CPC Central Committee general secretary.
