Museum of Ethnic Costumes in Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology
Museum of Ethnic Costumes in Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology is a cultural research institution integrated with collection, research and teaching. It has Comprehensive Displaying hall, Miao Ethnic Group Trappings hall, Golden Jewelry hall, Fancyworks and Dyed Products hall, Old Photos hall and Folk Traditional Trappings room.
This museum boasts more than 10 thousand excellent works of traditional ethnic costumes including clothes, trappings, fabrics, batiks and bredes of China's 56 nationalities. The level of Miao ethnic group costume collection in this museum is first-class among such kind of research institutes. It has collected over 1000 wonderful costumes including silver trappings of more than a hundred branches of the Miao ethnic group and has taken a lot of photos concerned. This museum also pays much attention to the collection and research of golden jewelry, folk fabrics and batiked craft and forms different series. Meanwhile, the museum houses a group of precious pictures taken in 1930s for ethnic investigation.

Admission Fee: RMB 20 Yuan; 10 Yuan for students; 5 Yuan for groups; free for middle and primary school students, retired carders, senior citizens, teachers and students of Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology, overseas Chinese who have been in China for more than 50 years.
