A joint task force of China's Ministry of Health (MOH) and World Health Organization (WHO) Wednesday arrived in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province.
The experts will have a six-day tour to inspect the prevention work against severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in the province.
The task force is headed by Xu Ke, an MOH official. WHO experts include James Maguire, Hiroshi Watanabe and Zhu Xu.
Henan, with a population of 95 million, is China's most populous province with a high proportion of farmers.
By 10:00 a.m. May 13, Henan reported 15 clinically confirmed SARS cases, five of which had been discharged from hospital.
In China, WHO experts have already visited Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Hebei and Guangxi.
