Indonesia's tsunami-devastated Aceh province has experienced two dozens of aftershocks since last Thursday with magnitude which did not trigger tsunamis or cause any significant damage, said the Meteorological and Geophysical Agency (BMG) on Sunday.
Quoting data from BMG, the media center of the natural disaster operation task force here said that at least eight aftershocks were recorded in Banda Aceh on Saturday, while eight other aftershocks were recorded on Friday and 10 on Thursday.
The aftershocks on Thursday and Friday had a magnitude of from 5.0 to 5.4 degrees on the Richter scale, while Saturday's shocks off the northern tip of Sumatra island were measured at from 4.0 to 4.4 degrees, said BMG.
No significant damage has been brought about by the aftershocks, said BMG.
