Sri Lanka has decided to make public details of the funds it has received from donors.

Most of these donations and the funds have been deposited in the special President's Fund for Disaster Relief.

They will be utilized on housing projects for those who lost their homes in the Dec. 26 tsunami disaster.

Possible negative effects of mismanagement of the vast inflow of finances were discussed at a meeting of the all-party High Level Committee of Disaster Relief.

Relevant departments have set up a new mechanism for receiving local and foreign funds.
