Earthquake-scared Nias residents felt a new mid-level quake at about 11:30 Monday morning.
People were seen running around in the damaged streets or jumping out of their homes, offices, stores with screams. After a while, with no more trembling, they got calmed and life went as usual.
This was the 85th quake felt by the residents in Nias since the great quake on March 28 that killed 530 people on the island and the number could be higher as more dead are discovered.
Local quake department recorded a total of 459 aftershocks since the powerful one on March 28. Of them, the strongest registered 6.2 magnitude and weakest 4.5.
On April 3 alone, the department recorded 17 aftershocks.
