A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has called on citizens to seriously study the newly-published Selected Works of Jiang Zemin, to further promote efforts to build the Party Style and a clean government and fight corruption.
Wu Guanzheng, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), made the remarks at Tuesday's workshop on the study of Jiang's selected works jointly held by the CCDI and the Ministry of Supervision (MOS).
He stressed that Jiang's theory on fighting corruption and advocating clean governance is an organic part of the important "Three Represents" concept, which claims that the CPC always represents the most advanced productivity and culture and the most fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the Chinese people.
Jiang, the predecessor of CPC Central Committee General Secretary Hu Jintao, repeatedly declared his strict principles and heartfelt expectations to CCDI and MOS officials, who work together in the same office, at CCDI plenary meetings in the past, according to Wu.
In related developments, the headquarters of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the Chinese People's Armed Police have organized all service people to study Jiang's selected works, according to military sources.
Leading officers at the level of regiment and higher have attended panels to study Jiang's instructions on how to build socialism with China's own characteristics, Party Building, and other important issues.
Meanwhile, a special page has been opened by the PLA's intranet to help officers and soldiers study and discuss Jiang's theories and instructions.
