The procuratorate of Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, confirmed on Wednesday that former director of the Zhejiang provincial Food and Drug Administration has been detained on charge of taking bribes.
Born in Hangzhou in 1946, Zheng Shangjin was the director of the Zhejiang provincial drug watchdog from 2002. He was stripped of his post on October 18, 2006, according to an announcement on the Zhejiang provincial government's website.
