State Council Reviews Revised Regulations
The Chinese State Council, or the cabinet, Wednesday reviewed newly revised draft regulations on overseas travel by Chinese citizens, publishing, audio and video products, films, and foreign-funded financial institutions.

The five drafts were discussed at the 50th executive meeting of the State Council, presided over by Premier Zhu Rongji.

The meeting approved the revisions in principle and suggested that further revisions be done before they are promulgated by the State Council.
