Chinese military have vowed to fully implement the guidelines established by the just-concluded 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on accelerating the pace of military modernization.
The general staff, political, logistic and equipment commands of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) convened separate meetings Tuesday, urging the PLA to adopt the important thought of Three Representatives as guidelines for the army.
Liang Guanglie, a member of the Central Military Commission and chief of the general staff, said that, assisted by the guidelines, the PLA should seek new development in handling military affairs and the modernization of the army so as to carry out the tasks entrusted to it by the CPC Central Committee more effectively.
Coastal Regions Uphold CPC Guidelines
Chinese living in the coastal areas have decided to make more institutional innovations and open up wider to the outside world in a move to materialize the guidelines established by the just-concluded 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
During separate discussions of the guidelines on Tuesday, officials and businessmen from Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Hainan provinces and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region said they would quicken the development of small townships and strive to improve the income of farmers.
To make sure the coastal areas remain the forefront of China's economic reform and opening up, local entrepreneurs expressed determination to build heavyweight enterprise groups and contribute more to the establishment of a well-off society in an all-round way.
