The Chinese and Russian diplomats held consultations in Beijing Thursday on strategic stability, calling for international non-proliferation cooperation.
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Kislyak exchanged in-depth views on the current security situations in the world, regional issues, multilateral arms control and non-proliferation.
Both sides stressed that it is of vital importance to world peace and security to enhance mutual trust, solve international disputes in peaceful manner, keep global strategic stability, maintain international arms control and disarmament system and strengthen cooperation in non-proliferation in line with international laws.
They agreed to continue close consultations on relevant issues.
