Four Chinese, including Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, received the Chilean Neruda Presidential Medal in Beijing Monday.
The medals, honoring Pablo Neruda, a renowned Chilean poet and a Nobel Prize Winner, were conferred on Li and three other Chinese experts engaged in the translation and research of Neruda's works.
"The Neruda Medal will encourage us to make more efforts for the development of Chile-China relations," said Chilean Ambassador to China Pablo Cabrera at the conferring ceremony.
On the same day, another 115 people in 66 other countries and regions received the Neruda Medals.
