Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) met in Beijing Tuesday with Kim Il Chol, visiting Minister of the People's Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK).

Kim and his delegation arrived here Monday on a visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan, who is also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission.

Cao told Kim on Monday that China hopes to continue to enhance exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Liao Xilong, director-general of the General Logistic Department of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), met with Kim Tuesday morning.
