The 28th International Congress of Psychology (ICP) will be in Beijing from Aug. 8 to 13, the China Psychology Society (CPS) announced Thursday.
With 6,000 participants from 85 countries and regions, this congress will be the largest international academic conference ever hosted by China. It is also the first time it will be held by a developing country.
The 28th ICP will feature 80 world-renowned keynote speakers, including a Nobel winner and over 20 academicians. Seven Chinese psychologists from China's mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan will also make speeches.
Established in 1898, ICP has been held every four years since World War II and praised as the Olympic games of psychology. Candidate countries should bid for hosting eight years in advance.
The official Website of the congress is www.ICP2004.org.
