A senior Chinese military leader on Wednesday pledged to further expand China-Turkey military exchanges and cooperation.
Xu Caihou, vice chairman of China's Central Military Commission, made the remarks when meeting with a Turkish military delegation, headed by Aydogan Babaoglu, commander of the Combined War Colleges of the Turkish armed forces.
"The Chinese armed forces value its friendship with the Turkish army, and is ready to further expand channels and fields for bilateral military exchanges," Xu said.
He said China-Turkey relations develop steadily since the establishment of diplomatic ties.
China appreciates Turkey's adherence to the one-China policy and its support for the country on the human rights issue, he said.
Babaoglu said the Turkish armed forces is willing to continue to enhance exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese army in various fields including military academy exchanges.
