China, Germany Vow Stronger Military Ties
Adjust font size:

China and Germany on Monday vowed to promote cooperation between the two armed forces.

"China-Germany military ties have deepened in recent years," Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan told Wolfgang Schneiderhan, Inspector General of Germany's Federal Defense Forces, who is on a visit to China.

Bilateral military ties featured frequent high-level visits, a sound exchange mechanism and deeper cooperation in specialized fields, Cao said.

Schneiderhan hailed the rapid development of bilateral military ties, citing progress in various military fields.

"China will further develop relations with Germany's Federal Defence Forces," Cao said.

Echoing Cao's remarks, Schneiderhan said Germany hoped to increase cooperation between the two armed forces.

An eight-day seminar on security policies is being held in Beijing for senior Chinese and German military officers.
