Adjust font size:

A senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Tuesday called for reinforcing judicial cooperation between China and Egypt for more "substantial outcomes".

Zhou Yongkang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remark while meeting with visiting Egyptian Minister of Justice Mamdouh Mohieddin Marai.

Zhou spoke highly of the Sino-Egyptian relations, expressing his hope that bilateral strategic cooperation could be further boosted to a higher level.

China will make concerted efforts with Egypt to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the judicial fields and promote the development of the bilateral ties in the economic, political, cultural and human resource fields, Zhou said.

He expressed his satisfaction with the latest signing of a bilateral agreement for exchange and cooperation between the two justice ministries.

Marai pledged to continue his efforts to support exchange and cooperation between Egypt and China in fields including legal and judicial issues.
