During the meeting, Koirala said that China and Nepal enjoy close and friendly relations and hoped to extend such relations.

He said that the Nepalese government adheres to one China policy and will not allow any forces to use the Nepalese territory to conduct activities against China.

"I sincerely hope that the forum would further contribute to enhancing the common ties of culture, religion and heritage between the two countries."

The prime minister hailed ties with China, saying China always offers support and help whenever Nepal requires it.

Echoing the positive comments of Koirala on China-Nepal relations, Sita spoke highly of the position of the Nepalese government of not allowing the utilization of Nepalese territory to conduct activities against China.

Sita said that the Chinese people firmly support the efforts of the Nepalese government and people to safeguard their sovereign independence and territorial integrity to achieve peace, stability and development.

The Chinese delegation led by Sita is here to attend a two-day "China Tibetan Culture Forum - Kathmandu", which is inaugurated here on Wednesday.
