Fu Quanyou, chief of general staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), held talks here Wednesday with Mikhail Arutyunyan, chief of general staff of the armed forces and Vice-Defense Minister of Armenia.
Fu, also a member of the Chinese Central Military Commission, said China and Armenia had steadily developing bilateral relations since the establishment of diplomatic ties 10 years ago. High level exchanges and cooperation in all fields continued to increase.
He said that Sino-Armenian military relations were promoted along with the development of bilateral ties. The Chinese armed forces held a positive attitude toward developing friendly cooperative ties with the Armenian army.
Arutyunyan said the two countries and their peoples enjoyed a traditional friendship, and it was always Armenia's diplomatic priority to develop relations with China.
The visitors arrived in Beijing Tuesday for a six-day official goodwill visit at Fu's invitation.
