China is glad that the hostage crisis in Moscow has been resolved and most of the hostages have been rescued, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said in Beijing Saturday.

The spokesman expressed sympathy and condolence to the victims in the terrorist event.

"The Chinese government firmly opposes terrorism in any forms," Liu said. "We are willing to strengthen international anti-terrorism cooperation with other countries."
