Russian president Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to China from Dec. 1 to 3, at the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan announced Beijing Monday.
Kong said the two heads of state will summarize the successful development of Sino-Russian relations in the past decade, draw a strategic plan for bilateral relations in the future, set the major direction and priority of the long-term mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides, and have an in-depth exchange of views on major international issues of common interest.
