Chinese President Jiang Zemin met with Peter Wallenberg, chairman of the Wallenberg Group of Sweden, and his party in Beijing Friday.
Extending a welcome to Wallenberg, Jiang said China welcomes the Wallenberg Group and other members from Swedish economic and corporate circles to participate in the country's modernization drive, and increase investment and cooperation.
Wallenberg said his group is ready to expand investment and economic cooperation in China.
Wallenberg and his party are visiting China at the invitation of the State Development Planning Commission of China.
