High-ranking officials of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) met with a delegation of US legislators on Saturday, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.
DPRK Foreign Minister Paek Nam Sun met with the six-member US delegation and discussed "unsettled issues" between the DPRK and the United States, including the nuclear issue, said the report, without giving further details.
Chairman of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly Choe Tae Bok also had a meeting with the US delegation, said the KCNA.
The US delegation is led by Republican Representative Curt Weldon, who serves as Vice-Chairman of the Armed Services Committee of the US House of Representatives. The delegation, which arrived in Pyongyang on Friday for a three-day visit, was expected to meet with Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, over the nuclear issue on Sunday.
This is the first US delegation which traveled to Pyongyang since the DPRK nuclear crisis erupted last October.
