Disney's charity family movie night A Celebration of Life were staged at the Hong Kong Stadium for a second consecutive night Sunday.
The company jointly launched its first outdoor family movie night Saturday with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government as part of the Relaunch Hong Kong campaign initiated by the HKSAR government.
The sold-out show attracted some 30,000 Hong Kong children and their parents. All the proceeds from the event were donated to the Hong Kong charity organization Po Leung Kuk for children's welfare use.
The organizers had also given for free thousands of tickets to students, under-privileged and physically challenged children and many young citizens who have been affected by situations brought on by SARS.
The spectacular event features a live show called Mickey's Magical Moments and the Cantonese version of one of Disney's most famous animated movie The Lion King.
Pamela Tan, director of Home Affairs, said "This celebration is a most successful and exciting collaboration between the Hong Kong government and Disney. It is an affirmation of the values of caring and the spirit of love."
