Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing said in Beijing Tuesday that China attaches great importance to the relations with Poland and is fully committed to consistently promoting the bilateral friendly and cooperative ties.
During his meeting with Marek Siwiec, head of the National Security Bureau of Poland, Li stressed the importance of maintaining the current international system of arms control and continuing to push forward the process of multilateral arms control, disarmament and anti-proliferation.

On the same day, Zhang Yesui, China's vice foreign minister, held talks with Siwiec on issues of international security and arms control.
They exchanged views on the global security, situation of arms control, anti-proliferation, Middle East issue, Iraq situation and nuclear issue on Korean Peninsula and both agreed that the consultations have helped enhance mutual understanding and improve mutual trust.
