Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met with visiting Cameroon President Paul Biya in Beijing Tuesday.
Wen said bilateral friendly and cooperative relations between China and Cameroon had developed smoothly and both parties had made achievements in cooperation in such areas as economy, culture, education and medical service.
Wen expressed his appreciation for Cameroon's long-term adherence to the one-China policy and its support for the reunification of China.
Wen said China would continue to provide aid for Cameroon's economic development and encourage Chinese enterprises to invest there.
Biya thanked China for its constant help to Cameroon and expressed his hope of strengthening exchanges of high-level visits and to expand economic cooperation and trade between the two countries. (Xinhua News Agency September 24, 2003)
