China, Russia to Strengthen Economic Cooperation

Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi held talks in Beijing Thursday with Konstantin Pulikovsky, Russian presidential envoy to the Far East Federal District.

They discussed strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the two Far East regions.

Wu said that after ten years of development, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries' border areas had developed from trade in daily consumption products and raw materials into diverse economic and technological cooperation, including forest resources exploitation, timber processing and agricultural products and services.

The two sides agreed to strengthen economic and technological cooperation, and to improve investment environments, border trade and infrastructure in their border ports.
