Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski was killed when his plane crashed in the mountainous terrain in the south of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday, according to official sources.
According to the Tanjug news agency, Trajkovski is to attend an international economic conference in Sarajovo.
The plane crashed near the Stolac area, about 50 km from the city of Mostar, Tanjug cited a report.
Trajkovski, 47, was elected president in November 1999. Before that, he served as a deputy foreign minister in the government of former Prime Minister Ljubco Georgievski.
