CPPCC Chairman Meets Nepalese Guests

Jia, who visited Nepal last year as a guest of Chaudhary, mentioned the smooth development of bilateral relations since the two countries forged diplomatic ties in 1955, citing bilateral fruitful cooperation in such fields as politics, economy and culture and their sound communication and coordination in international affairs.

Jia spoke highly of Nepal's consistent support for China on the Tibet issue and the fact that it does not allow any person to engage in anti-China activities within the Nepalese territory.

Jia said China will continue its good-neighborly and friendly policy towards Nepal and further develop bilateral cooperation in various fields on the basis of mutual respect, equality and reciprocity so that the two countries will be good neighbors, partners and friends forever.

Jia said the close exchanges between the CPPCC National Committee and the Raj Parishad have become an important component in the development of bilateral relations, hoping they will continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges to make greater contributions to bilateral friendly relations.

Chaudhary, who arrived in Beijing Monday at the invitation of Jia, expressed his pleasure at meeting with Jia and recalled Jia's successful visit to Nepal last year.

He talked about the sound development of bilateral relations since the two countries forged diplomatic ties and the frequent bilateral exchanges of high-level visits.

He said Nepal adheres to a one-China policy and will not allow any person to engage in anti-China activities within the Nepalese territory.

Nepal is pleased with China's increasing role in international affairs, noted Chaudhary, who added his appreciation for China's assistance for the country.
