Ten Chinese construction workers were killed in a terrorist attack in Afghanistan early Thursday.

Six others were wounded, one of whom was in very critical condition.

An official from the Chinese Embassy to Afghanistan said about 20 armed terrorists rushed into the Chinese construction site around 01:00 am local time and opened fire at Chinese workers.

Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Sun Yuxi was rushing to the scene.
