A new compact car line by Lanos will hit stores across China at an "appropriate time" after the week-long traditional Chinese Lunar New Year, an official with the Daewoo Motors joint venture said on Monday.
The Lanos series cars, which include the S Hatchback to the Sport Hatchback, will be priced around 100,000 yuan (US$12,000), but the prices are not final, the official said.
The series cars made their debut at a local trade fair before the Lunar New Year.
The series are equipped with a standard 1.6-liter, I4, 105-horsepower engine. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional.
