Microsoft Corp said it has appointed Jun Tang, General Manager of Microsoft's Global Technical Support Centre in Shanghai, as president of Microsoft China.
Tang will be in charge of Microsoft's business and operations in China including the company's business development strategy, sales and marketing, customer and partner support, government affairs and general administration.
Tang joined Microsoft in 1994 as the senior program manager for Microsoft's Windows NT division. He led the team in developing and releasing Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0 Far East versions.
At the end of 1997, Tang formed Microsoft's Greater China Regional Support Center in Shanghai.
