China's first international exposition on information-based manufacturing is scheduled for July 25-28 in Dongguan city in Guangdong province, south China.
A spokesman for the organizing committee said the exposition will promote the application of information technology and relatedproducts manufactured in China and overseas.
The fair is being organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and other government departments, said the spokesman.
As a sideline to the exposition, a series of lectures and seminars will be organized.
About 500 businesses and 50,000 professionals are expected to take part.
Dongguan has hundreds of overseas-funded companies involved with electronic and IT products connected with computer parts.
