Eleven people died and 19 others were injured after a coach overturned on a highway Sunday morning in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, local government sources said.
The accident occurred at 7:10 AM in Fengxian County, 367 kilometers from the provincial capital Xi'an, when the bus carrying 30 passengers overturned, according to the county government.
The coach was heading from Mianyang City of southwest China's Sichuan Province to China's business hub of Shanghai.
Nine people died on the scene, with 13 badly injured and eight slightly injured. Two seriously injured passengers later died at the hospital.
Three badly injured were still in critical condition as of 8:00 PM.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
