Top Ten Tax Cases Released

The State Administration of Taxation yesterday revealed ten tax cases last year and announced that it had retrieved 868 million yuan (about US$112.37 million).

A campaign, named  Thunder First, kicked off in 2006, aiming at breaking up criminal gangs that forge tax invoices.

About 1,374 enterprises were involved in the case and 684 of them had been punished. Eighty-eight of 116 suspects have been arrested, according to the police.
