The official website of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, www.beijing2008.cn has, through random choice, selected the first 150 lucky website volunteers for its targeted draw of 2,008 "Honorary Netizens" worldwide.

 

According to sources with the website, the "Honorary Netizens" recruitment campaign began on March 5th and has received a widespread response. So far, over 6,000 applicants from around the world have entered their applications online. The voluntary netizen recruitment process will last up to August 8th this year, the one year anniversary of the games countdown.

 

A total of 2,008 selected "Honorary Netizens" will be appointed "Online Messengers" of beijing2008.cn. They will work for the website to provide information services. They will also participate in exchange programs related to the 29th Olympic Games.
