Recently, the China Confucius Foundation and Sichuan University jointly presented 10 copies of the Scripture of Confucianism, a large-scale series of classics of Confucianism, to the Office of Chinese Language Council International and the headquarters of the Confucius Institute, at the Diaoyutai State Guest House. Copies of the works will be sent to other affiliated Confucius Institutes abroad as reference material for students there.
The Scripture of Confucianism is compiled in 24 branches, three sections of classics, history and analysis with an inclusion of 5,000 categories of books. The final version is a 500-volume copy of over 500 million words. The Scripture of Confucianism, along with "Tibetan Tripitaka" and the collection of Taoism represent a milestone in recording the history of China's ancient religions.
This presented copy is a 100-volume and 50-million-word copy of the history section, with 300 categories of Confucianism related books compiled within.
