Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang Founded on January 1, 1948, the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang is composed of the democratic figures of the Chinese Kuomintang and other patriotic democrats. Featuring a political alliance, it is a political party dedicated to the building of socialism with Chinese characteristics and reunification of the motherland. It now has a membership of 64,958. Its previous leaders were Soong Ching Ling (honorary chairwoman), Li Jishen, Ho Hsiang-ning, Zhu Yunshan, Wang Kunlun, Qu Wu, Zhu Xuefan, Hou Jingru (honorary chairman), Sun Yueqi (honorary chairman) and Li Peiyao. Its current chairwoman is He Luli.
China Democratic League Founded in March 1941, the China Democratic League (CDL) was originally named the League of Chinese Democratic Political Groups (LCDPG) and adopted its current name in September 1944. CDL is a political league mainly composed of intellectuals working in the fields of culture and education and patriots supporting socialism. It is also a political party in service of socialism. Leader of LCDPG was Huang Yanpei. Previous leaders of CDL were Zhang Lan, Shen Junru, Yang Mingxuan, Shi Liang, Hu Yuzhi (acting chairman) and Chu Tunan. Its current honorary chairpersons are Fei Xiaotong, Qian Weichang, Tan Jiazhen and Su Buqing, and its chairman is Ding Shisun. CDL now has a membership of 156,000.
China Democratic National Construction Association Founded in December 1945, the China Democratic National Construction Association is mainly composed of patriotic national business entrepreneurs and intellectuals from business circles. It now has more than 85,000 members. Its previous leaders were Huang Yanpei, Hu Juewen and Sun Qimeng. Its current chairman is Cheng Siwei.
China Association for Promoting Democracy Founded in December 1945, the China Association for Promoting Democracy is mainly composed of senior and medium-level intellectuals in the fields of education, culture, publishing, science and other professional sectors. It now has a membership of 81,000. Its previous leaders were Ma Xulun, Zhou Jianren, Ye Shengtao and Lei Jieqiong, and its former honorary chairpersons were Xie Bingxin and Zhao Puchu. Its current honorary chairwoman is Lei Jieqiong and chairman is Xu Jialu.
China Peasants and Workers' Democratic Party Founded in August 1930, the China Peasants and Workers' Democratic Party is a political alliance mainly composed of senior and medium-level intellectuals in the fields of public health, science and technology, culture and education, and patriots supporting socialism. It now has 80,280 members. Its previous leaders were Deng Yanda, Huang Qixiang, Zhang Bojun, Peng Zemin, Ji Fang, Zhou Gucheng and Lu Jiaxi. Its current chairman is Jiang Zhenghua.
China Zhi Gong Dang Founded in October 1925, the China Zhi Gong Dang is a democratic party mainly composed of returned overseas Chinese and their relatives. It now has more than 20,400 members. Its previous leaders were Chen Qiyou, Huang Dingchen and Dong Yinchu. Its current honorary chairman is Dong Yinchu and chairman is Luo Haocai.
Jiu San Society Founded in May 1946, the Jiu San Society is mainly composed of senior and medium-level intellectuals in the fields of science and technology, culture, education and public health. It now has more than 80,000 members. Its previous leaders were Xu Deheng and Zhou Peiyuan, with Xu Deheng, Zhou Peiyuan, Yan Jici, Mao Yisheng and Jin Shanbao being its former honorary chairpersons. Its current honorary chairman is Wang Ganchang and chairman is Wu Jieping.
Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League Founded in November 1947, the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League is a political alliance mainly composed of Taiwan compatriots living in the mainland of China and patriots supporting socialism. Its previous leaders were Xie Xuehong (female), Cai Xiao, Su Ziheng and Cai Zimin. Its current honorary chairman is Cai Zimin and chairman is Zhang Kehui. |
