FISU to inspect venues of Winter Universiade 2009

The International University Sports Federation (FISU) will conduct an inspection on the venues of the 24th Winter Universiade 2009 in Harbin from Feb. 23 to 27.

 

The FISU will send seven panels to inspect the snow and ice venues, the athletes' village, media center, official hotels and hospitals, etc., the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau said on Thursday.

 

The FISU will also have an executive committee meeting from Feb. 28 to Mar. 3.

 

The 24th Winter Universiade was attributed to Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, at the Executive Committee Meeting in Austria on January 10, 2005.

 

The 24th Winter Universiade will be held on Feb. 18-28, 2009.
