CPC top leader Hu Jintao's important speech on Taiwan will further direct mainland's work of Taiwan affairs, reiterated Zhang Mingqing, spokesperson of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council Wednesday.
Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the speech at a panel discussion of the National People's Congress (NPC) deputies from Taiwan on March 11.
Zhang said the speech has shown CPC's attention to Taiwan affairs, its confidence in settling Taiwan affairs and the nation's unanimous desire for reunification.
The speech also showed that CPC has maintained consistent and innovative policies on Taiwan affairs, Zhang said.
