Two Taiwan SARS Patients Recover in Beijing

Two Taiwan patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) have recovered and will be discharged from Beijing's Ditan Hospital next week, Li Xingwang, a doctor with the hospital, told Xinhua Wednesday.

Li told a cross-Taiwan Strait seminar on SARS prevention that the two patients -- one male and one female -- were in good condition. The female patient could be discharged anytime, but she wanted to leave the hospital with the male patient, who was expected to be discharged next week.

Ditan Hospital is one of the six medical organizations designated for SARS treatment in Beijing.
