Airliner Extends Check-in Time

Passengers of China Southern Airlines will have to check in 45 minutes before takeoff at the new Baiyun airport during the first 15 days after opening.

The Guangzhou-based New Express quoted Southern Southern Airlines' sources saying that the measure was aimed at ensuring the punctuality of China Southern Airlines flights.

The new Baiyun airport would start operating August 5. The China Southern Airlines ground staff would close boarding channels 45 minutes before planes take off from August 5 through August 20, compared with the normal check-in time of 30 minutes before takeoff
