Two senior executives at China Eastern Airlines, one of the country's largest carriers, are "receiving investigation for being suspected of violating disciplines," media reports said Wednesday, citing a company spokesman.
But the spokesman, Li Jiang, gave no further details for the "violations" by Wu Jiuhong and Tong Guozhao, both deputy general managers at the Shanghai-based company, the Beijing News reported.
Earlier media reports said two other executives Xiao Qixian and Wang Qiang at the company's cargo divisions were taken away by local procuratorate in August on alleged corruption charges involving 10 million yuan (US$1.25 million).
Li said it is not clear whether there is a connection between the case of Wu and Tong, and that of Xiao and Wang.
The spokesman said the result of the cases would be released in company statement later.
