Chinese Vice Premier Meets Boeing Principal

Chinese Vice-Premier Zeng Peiyan on Wednesday met with James McNerney, chief executive of Boeing Co., a U.S. based aviation magnate, exchanging views on the cooperation between Boeing and China.

 

Zeng expressed his appreciation with the recent memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between Boeing and Chinese aviation manufacture enterprises on strengthening cooperation between both sides.

 

Zeng said the fast-growing Chinese economy has provided great space for the development of both Chinese and world aviation industry and also a foundation for cooperation between Boeing and China.

 

He said he hoped Boeing would build a long-term partnership of cooperation with Chinese enterprises and implement the related contents in the MOU as soon as possible.

 

Zeng also expressed his hope that Boeing would expand its investment and business in China and conduct technology cooperation and exchanges, and play a bigger role in promoting China-U.S. economic and trade relations of mutual benefit.
