China has become one of the most desirable destinations for American tourists in 2006, as well as the hottest destination for international travelers from all over the world.

 

The China News website reports the US-based Chinese language newspaper ran a story on China's growing popularity in America. The country also took the top place in an online survey conducted by leading travel publisher Lonely Planet.

 

With business travelers to China on the rise, more and more American Chinese are traveling to the Chinese mainland to explore their roots. China has also become a popular destination because American people have a passion of Chinese culture and history.

 

But some industry analysts say America's passion for China travel may cool after the yuan is revalued as the costs of the trip will increase.
